Garstang still has a weekly outdoor market every Thursday and is famous for being the world’s first ever Fairtrade Town. Set on the banks of the River Wyre and close to the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Garstang is known for its scenery. As such, visitors and residents can enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities including can enjoy golfing, fishing, bird watching and walking.
Due to its natural beauty, convenient amenities and excellent transport links (being close to the M6), Garstang is a popular residential location.
